the '300' at the beginning of the P/N makes me wonder if you do not have a B control with a 300 line encoder. Usually the number of lines is embedded within the P/N. The axis will jog as long as you push the button at the same time it is looking at the axis position but it is ignoring the information because you are in manual control and the computer figures you know what you're doing.
